05/29/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/29/15 19:37 Greece was found tied in front a school on mace avenue. The finder said that her daughter decided to bring her home but the finder said that they cannot keep her because she is not allowed to have pets in her home. During intake, Greece was very vocal. She barked when I stood up to approach her. She did not allow me to scan, so I let the finder scan her for me. She was negative. She took treats and approached me and sniffed me.She wagged her tail but had pilo-erection. She allowed me to switch leashes and when i approached me her with more treats she stood up against the doggy gate and greeted me. She did not allow me to collar or handle her. The finder helped put her into the kennel.

06/02/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Greece has shown conflicted and varying responses to common social situations with humans. She has also shown reactivity toward strangers up to and including lunging at a stranger who passed her on the street. She appears to be poorly socialized and will likely need a behavior modification and counterconditioning program in order to become a safe family pet. 6/1 SAFER: Greece came to our center when a member of the public found her tied in front of a school. She was very vocal upon intake and would not allow handling from admissions counselor at first, but warmed up when given treats. Greece barks while inside her kennel but came out easily and walked nicely for her relief walk. She was very vocal in the SAFER assessment room, giving conflicted barking along with displacement sniffing. Greece was easy to position for SAFER items, allowing her head to be cupped in assessor’s hands for Look item, accepting the touch and standing still for Sensitivity item. She licked her lips and leaned into the assessor during Squeeze. During Tag, Greece somewhat escalated, jumping up with what appears to be rough play, but settled easily once redirected. She calmly allowed the Food bowl to be moved while she was eating, and lifted her head when approached. She playfully kept a firm grip on both Toy and Rawhide, while maintaining loose and wiggly body. She approached helper dog with tail at spine level, ears back. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and her body is neutral. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, her tail is between her legs, body neutral, mouth closed. Tag: 3. Dog follows first two passes, then jumps up and paws assessor, clearly very uncomfortable, but not aggressive. Squeeze 1 / 2: 1. Dog does not pull paw back, leans in, tail down, lip lick. Food 1. Dog lifts head and ceases eating when you reach to pull the bowl away or push her out. Toy 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the toy. Rawhide 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the rawhide. Dog – dog 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, earsback, and lip long.
