05/23/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Grace Potter came into the care center as a stray, so her past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake she was reported to be shy and needed time to warm up, but she was receptive to treats and allowed a counselor to handle her. During SAFER Grace Potter was sociable, but occasionally distracted by her surroundings. She allowed the assessor to conduct all SAFER handling items, but became a bit tense during the paw handling. Grace Potter was a bit fearful during the tag item, and during the resources portion of the assessment she was easy to handle and did not display any concerning behaviors. Grace Potter can be shy, but easily warms up and is sociable, so the department feels she can be suitable for an “Average” experienced adopter. Look: 2.
