09/16/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: The line to spend time with Gotti forms to the left!!! An instant celebrity due to his small size and wiggle butt, Gotti was surrendered to our care along with his mom Missy (A1051315) as their family can no longer have pets. I kept referring to him as a little piglet — that’s how small he is! A perfect example of the tail wagging the dog, Gotti wiggles all over, loves attention and petting, comes when called, sits (“put it down”) for a treat which he takes gently. He lived with adults and toddlers and is described as “playful and affectionate”. He and his mom, Missy, did everything together and while she now may prefer to be an empty nester, Gotti was excited when he was with her. Off leash he wiggles some more, tries to jump up on the bench beside me but is too short, and settles for a head in my lap for some petting. Gotti is vocal in play, and when in group for the first time is selective and not playful offering correction when approached. If you have a resident dog a meet and greet is always recommended. Our little piglet, I mean dog, is waiting to find his new home with fun, active and caring people. He may need additional training in the housetraining department, but he’s smart and wants to learn. He’s an awesome little guy, guaranteed to make you laugh.
