04/15/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Goku came in as a stray surrender, so his past behavior in a home is unknown. At intake he was reported to be very friendly and greeted the counselor by jumping up, giving hugs and had a wagging tail. During SAFER Goku was very excitable and was very attention seeking. He allowed the assessor to conduct all handling items without issue, and was distracted during the tag interaction. Goku was a bit resistant to being pushed out of the food bowl, but with a bit of pressure applied to his cheek he lifted his head. He was easy to handle when engaged with the toy item, and relinquished the item without issue, and he only showed minimal interest in the rawhide item. Goku becomes very excitable when interacting with people, but he is gentle, and responsive to correction, so the department feels Goku is suitable for an “Average” experienced adopter. Look: 1. Dog jumps up to lick the Assessor’s face with tail wagging, ears back and eyes averted. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is open for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (needed coaxing to approach.) He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are back. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are back. Food: 2. Dog follows the dish with his tail down, body soft. Dog lifts head after a bit of pressure from hand to cheek. Toy 1: 1. Dog settles down close to chew, will relinquish toy to you. Rawhide: 1. Minimal interest in rawhide, dog licks, then turns away. Dog-dog: When off leash with other dogs, Goku is social and is a bit sexually motivated when initially interacting. He responds well to correction and spends the rest of time in yard exploring and wandering.

04/14/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
When off leash with other dogs, Goku is social and is a bit sexually motivated when intially interacting. He responds well to correction and spends the rest of time in yard exploring and wandering. 4/18 update: Goku is becoming more comfortable when socializing and may solicit but still prefers to explore his surroundings. 4/19 Update Goku engages in a bit of rough and rowdy play with a playful female. 4/21 Update Goku is a polite greeter but is not interested in play. He is social and will explore the yard with a female. 4/22 Update Goku is tolerant of a female’s attempts to play and is tolerant and respectful 4/23 Update Goku continues to be social and engages in some running play with a playful female 4/25 update: Goku continues to play appropriately with females who engage him. 4/27 Update Goku enjoys some running play with an active female but is also polite and respectful to not push play with a female more interested in wandering the yard than play
