A volunteer writes: In his lush and gleaming mahogany color coat, Geronimo is absolutely stunning. His weight is perfect for his size, his eyes (which match the color of his coat) are friendly but confused, and he’s welcoming of making new friends. We head out the door where he makes a beeline for the fire hydrant across the street, peeing endlessly while he looks up at me as if saying, “dogs and fire hydrants – yup – classic!”. He’s so funny! Geronimo was found tied to a fence, but his good manners and good looks indicate a well taken care of pet before being abandoned. He pulls a bit on the leash but right now it’s more about anxiety and uncertainty and he’s easily managed. In the backyard he explores the pen, poses for some pictures, chases a tossed tennis ball, and if I’m not fast enough with my throw play bows to me in an effort to hurry the game along. He knows this game! Affectionate, energetic, stunning giving stand up hugs and wagging his tail, Geronimo is looking for an active family with whom to play and snuggle. He’s the perfect size to wrap your arms around and snuggle close. Stop by to meet him today.
