08/19/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Galya is both Hebrew and Russian in origin, and those named Galya have “a deep inner desire for love and companionship”. Wow, how perfectly does that describe our Galya. She was found by the police in the street and rode loose in the back of the squad car to our door! She’s a gorgeous little girl, her brindle coat shining and healthy looking, her weight perfect for her size and her manners soft and elegant. Her tail was wagging and she caught my eye as I passed her kennel — she was letting me know she was ready for a walk, and indeed showed off her housetraining skills the moment we were out the door. She sits when asked to, takes treats gently, and is sweet, calm and easy to be with. Staff said at intake that she was calm and soft and during a stressful process that’s a great compliment. In group play she’s social and playful with both males and females and solicits play. Up on the bench for some gentle hugs and kisses, Galya in every way lives up to her name showing “a deep inner desire for love and companionship”. She’ll make an amazing best friend, and is hoping to meet her soul mate today. Who’s going to be the lucky person to take her home?
