A volunteer writes;
Gabby’s life long owner passed away and as no family member was willing to take her on, she is with us, hoping to spend the rest of her days with a new master who will appreciate her wonderful qualities and gentle disposition. Indeed, 11 year old Gabby comes with stellar comments making her a perfect family dog. She loves children of all ages, likes other dogs, big and small, is friendly to strangers, is very affectionate , dedicated, playful, house trained and has no handling issues. She has been remarkably well taken care of although she suffers from wheat and seasonal allergies as well as very bothersome bilateral ear hematomas. Gabby is welcoming in her kennel and even more at our second encounter. She walks beautifully on the leash and eliminates as soon as we leave the care center. She owns beautiful eyes that look so gently into mine. Many dogs are met as well as a myriad of birds..Gabby is totally cool with them. She wags her tail at the sight of kids playing in a playground. Now we are talking! Gabby does not belong to a kennel but a home where she can be happy, joyous and give all the love she has in her. Gabby comes when I call her, sits on command and by my side like my faithful friend She is a gorgeous girl who does not look her age. Really, is she really 11 year old? Gabby has a well groomed strawberry blond coat, dark and soulful velvety eyes and great teeth. She is in a fantastic shape and i see her enjoying still many years ahead of her. Gabby is at the Manhattan Care Center, a grand dame meant to be from day one the man(woman)’s forever and most faithful best friend. Come and meet her very soon.She will make your life shine like a ten carats diamond.
