05/26/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/26/15 15:47 Basic Information French Toast is a white and brown neutered male. He was brought to us because his owner has moved out of state and can no longer have him. He is a loyal and very loving boy. Social Life and Personality This boy is loving of humans of almost any age. He has experience with children 6 and up. He is gentle for the most part but he also sometimes mistakes himself for a lap dog. French Toast hasn’t has much exposure to other dogs but he may just need time to warm up to them. He is house trained and likes to go out at least twice a day. He is an energetic pup and would do best in a home where he could get lots of exercise. Crate trained? Yes. French Toast is create trained and if he is left at home it would be best if he were crated. He has been known to get into some things if he is left out while alone. Behavior Issues French Toast really is a caring dog. He may not be big on nail trims though. For a new family to know He comes with knowledge of a few basic commands. Tell him to “sit” or “stay” and he will listen…for the most part. He enjoys a brisk walk on the leash. Toys are a love of his and he doesn’t discriminate. Squeaky toys, ball toys, rope toys. When there are people around, French Toast likes to be in the same room. He is a lover!

05/30/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: “He’s a lover”, and with those words Frenchy (as I call him) was left to our care as his person is moving and cannot take him. We’re told so many amazing things about this dog and it’s clear that he was loved and well taken care of. We’re told that he’s housetrained (he peed forever as soon as we were out the door), is experienced with kids 6 years old and up and plays gently with them, although “sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog”, is a “loyal and loving boy”, loves people of all ages, loves all toys, and is crate trained. Frenchy is stunning in his black and white coat, and his one blue eye one brown eye gives him a rakish devil may care look. He showed me how good he is with children when the son of one of the staff people met him and petted him, asking a lot of questions about him, and Frenchy stood there like a pro, enjoying the attention and being incredibly soft and gentle. Walking to the park gave him a chance to show off his nice leash manners, and every once in a while he would look at me and bite the leash for a quick second, dropping it immediately when I said no. Then he would grin at me as if this were all a joke, wag his tail and keep walking. What a fun boy! In the backyard Frenchy sought the shade, laying down by my feet and give me his belly for a good rub. Taking some treats gently, smiling at me and showing off his perfect teeth, Frenchy is waiting to meet his forever person or family. He’s an absolute delight who aced his behavior assessment indicating he’ll be a good fit in just about any home. Gentle, calm big boy who thinks he’s a lap dog……it doesn’t get better than that!

05/28/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
French toast pulls a bit on leash. He was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body. He was calm and relaxed during handling. French toast was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. He did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. French toast was not interested in toys or rawhide. French toast was surrender to us. According to his previous owner he has experience with children 6 and up. He is gentle for the most part but he also sometimes mistakes himself for a lap dog. French toast hasn’t has much exposure to other dogs but he may just need time to warm up to them”.
