04/08/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Frances came to us as a stray on 4/6/2015 after the police found her walking with a tennis ball in her mouth. She was friendly upon intake and allowed all handling, scanning, picture taking, etc. Frances jumped up to lick the assessor’s face during Look item. She allowed Sensitivity touch along the side of her body, turning her head toward the assessor’s hand throughout and licked assessor’s hand. Frances followed at the end of the leash during Tag and calmed immediately at the end. She was calm and allowed the food to be moved with no aggressive behaviors. Frances was overly excited by the Toy item. She kept a firm grip and put her body between the assessor and the toy. She stood squarely with the toy in her mouth and facing the assessor at times as well. Frances would not trade the toy for a treat and assessment had to wait for her to drop it briefly before being moving her away and being able to continue. Frances had no interest in rawhide and was only focused on the last place she had seen the toy. Due to the potential for guarding of toys, the Behavior Team feels Frances would do best in an Experienced home without children. Look: 1. Dog leans forward or jumps up to lick the Assessor’s face with tail wagging, ears back and eyes averted. Sensitivity: 2. Dog repeatedly turns toward the Assessor’s hand. Dog licks hand while lips are long. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog sniffs hand. Does not pull paw back Squeeze 2: 1. Dog sniffs hand. Does not pull paw back. Food 1. Dog calmly allows the food to be moved, follows the dish, but does not interfere with the dish’s movement. Dog’s body is soft and loose, eyes soft, tail neutral. She lifts her head when hand is pushed against her cheek. Toy 3. Dog takes away, keeps a firm hold. Her body is stiff. Rawhide 1. Minimal interest.

04/10/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD

With other dogs off-leash, Frances greets appropriately and becomes playful. She may become pushy but has been respectful with nervous dogs.
