OWNER SURRENDER PROFILE
Basic Information: Fluffy is a 8 year old female poodle/ cocker span mix. Owner had Fluffy since she was a puppy as a gift from a friend. Owner stated Fluffy has no health issues. Owner had to surrender Fluffy due to living situations.
Social Life and Personality: Fluffy lived with 3 adults and has been around children. Fluffy is relaxed, playful and respectful towards everyone in the household. Fluffy lived with another dog which is her daughter Mima A1036223. Owner stated Fluffy and Mima are not bonded but they are relaxed and respectful towards one another. Owner stated when Fluffy interacts with other dogs she is tolerant. Fluffy lived with a cat and she was respectful and tolerant towards the cat that was in the home. Owner stated Fluffy activity level is to a medium she is mellow, friendly and independent.
Behavior Issues: Owner stated Fluffy didn’t bite or scratched anyone to owner’s knowledge. Fluffy will bark when she hears noises. Fluffy allows owner to touch food bowl while eating and take toys or treats away. Fluffy likes to take baths and be brushed. When unfamiliar people approach the house or the yard Fluffy will bark.
For a New Family to Know: Fluffy knows commands such as sit, down, give paw, roll over, and lay down. Fluffy is house trained she goes on walks on a leash three times a day. Fluffy is crate-trained and the crate is open for her when she wants to go in and out. Fluffy likes to stay by the door or on the side of owner bed. Fluffy is well behaved when home alone. Fluffy eats dry food called Alpo three times a day and like Salami for treats.
Intake Behavior: Upon intake Fluffy sat on command. She rolled over and gave paw. She was calm and relaxed. She scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.
BEHAVIOR: AVERAGE
Fluffy previously lived with 3 adults and has been around children. Fluffy is relaxed, playful and respectful towards everyone in the household. Owner stated when Fluffy interacts with other dogs she is tolerant. It was also mentioned that Fluffy lived with a cat and she was respectful and tolerant towards the cat that was in the home. Owner stated Fluffy activity level is to a medium she is mellow, friendly and independent. She will bark when she hears noises, Fluffy is house trained she goes on walks on a leash, the owner mentioned Fluffy is crate-trained and she is well behaved when home alone.
Upon intake Fluffy sat on command. She rolled over and gave paw. She was calm, relaxed allowed all handling. She was loose and wiggly on her relief; she also walks well on the leash walking side by side next to the assessor. During SAFER Fluffy was friendly to the assessor, sensitivity she had soft body posture with her ears relaxed, tag interaction she followed the assessor with a soft body approaching at the end. Food, toy and rawhide item she showed no interest. The behavior department feels Fluffy can go to an “average” adopter.
Look: 1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds.
Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item.
Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft.
Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are relaxed.
Food: 1 Inconclusive dog is not eating.
Toy: 1. No interest.
Rawhide: 1. No interest.
Dog-to-dog: When off leash with other dogs Fluffy allows other dogs to sniff her but mostly roams the yard.
