07/11/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
DOG INFORMATION SHEET Where did this dog come from? Stray – Outside ORIGINAL SOURCE Found as a Stray Does this dog have a microchip? No Animal’s Name: Felicity (A1043583) WHY ARE YOU BRINGING THIS DOG IN? Is a Stray – Was Tied Up Has he bitten anyone in the last 10 days? Yes Describe his behavior: Felicity came right up to me and bumped her head into my lap to be petted. Alot of tail wagging was observed and Felicity appears to walk very calm on the leash. I would say Felicity does well with stranger’s, since these observations were based on the first time Felicity and I met.
08/02/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Felicity literally means ‘intense happiness’ and this charming dumpling of a girl certainly has the affectionate nature and heartfelt smile to back it up! Her beautiful strawberry blond markings and tubby body draw admiring looks as we stroll through the park and when not smiling she has an endearingly crooked mouth that brings out ‘awwws’ in even the burliest male staffers. Hugs and kisses are her specialty and she loves receiving almost as much as giving them, snuggling into my lap and grinning like a loon as we smooch ourselves silly in the sunshine. Felicity pulls strongly on leash (especially when she sees a four-legged friend) and loves to sniff everything but she seems to be very house trained and will sit politely on command, even plopping herself down unprompted while we wait for the crosswalk lights to change. Arriving at the Care Center with her sister Francis, it’s clear that Felicity enjoys the company of other big dogs and though her kennel and leash greeting manners can be a bit rough, she did wonderfully out in playgroup with two other pups, even appropriately correcting a naughty boy when he got a bit too amorous! If you’re looking to add some extra love and snuggles to your life (and really, who isn’t?) then Felicity is your girl!
08/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Felicity walks calmly on leash. She was shy but friendly during the assessment – low body, but trying to stay close. Felicity was shy during handling with a fearful body language. She was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. Felicity was not interested in food, toys or rawhide. She approaches the helper dog by rushing in with her tail high, stiff body, head tall. Felicity has been showing fearful behavior and avoids interaction in the care center. We cannot be certain if behavior may be suppressed as a result of the shelter environment. Please note that behavior may change when Felicity is more comfortable and settled in a home environment. The behavior department advises that future adopters should be able to provide positive experiences for FelicityIn addition, we recommend that introductions are done slowly, and Felicitybe given the opportunity to interact at their own pace. The behavior department feels that she may do best with an experienced adopter. Look: 2. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her body posture is stiff and fearful; her tail is low and not moving.
