12/08/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Surrendered with her housemate Shago (A1059775) when their owner lost her home, we’re told that her two favorite things about Feisty is how friendly and nurturing she is. She lived with two children and was gentle and affectionate with them, is housetrained and also uses wee wee pads, knows ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’ and ‘stay’, and likes all toys. Feisty was so excited to make a new friend, her tail wagged she was bouncy and fun. Her name seems to suit her as she’s active and energetic, loves to go on walks (was walked four times a day), and would probably do well as a jogging partner. She’s a compact little girl with a big smile on her face, an ever wagging tail and a desire to make new friends. If you have an active lifestyle and are looking for someone to share it with, come meet Feisty today!

12/08/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Feisty intially showed concerning levels of arousal during off leash interaction with other dogs. More recently, with prolonged interaction, Feisty may become uncomfortable and back away from the helper dog. Feisty arrived into our care center with another dog, with whom the owner described their interaction as “playful and loving”. Any further history regarding behaviors around other dogs are unknown. Based on the behavior observed in our care center, the behavior department recommends a pre-adoption interaction before placing Feisty into a home with another dog. Slow, positive, introductions in a home should be necessary to allow Feisty to become comfortable around a resident dog. When off leash with other dogs Feisty is forward upon introduction and is aroused during her interaction, but does not solicit or engage in play. She is more interested in seeking attention from handlers. 12/9: Feisty rushes into the pen, and appears aroused with hackles raised, ears forward, pupils dilated. She stands tall and then attempts to run after the helper dog in the pen. 12/10: Feisty offers greeting to the male helper dog. She shows some interest in interacting but becomes uncomfortable, backs away with prolonged interaction.
