A volunteer writes: A first draft pick for the Giants, when Emu couldn’t get his mouth around the football, they gave him a NY Giants coat telling him he was likely suited for other things…..like chomping on a tennis ball or a stuffed toy. So, Emu moved on. Emu is a gorgeous dog in his clean and groomed tan coat, and the perfect weight for his size. Friendly to all, he wags his little nub of a tail at every person and dog who walks by the pen, running over to greet them all. He’s likely housetrained pooping and peeing endlessly when first out as he had obviously been ‘holding it’ for a long time. Showing off his ‘sit’ he takes his reward treat gently. Emu pulls on the leash a bit, but as of this writing has just joined us so is still a bit anxious. He has a nice friendly energy, has clearly been well taken care of and is hoping for a new home in which his tennis ball skills (among other things) will be appreciated. He’s unique, sweet, friendly and engaging and cordially invites you to stop by to meet him today.
