A volunteer writes:

Handsome Elvis is with us for no fault of his own..His family is moving to a place not allowing pets..He is a young dog who has been beautifully cared for and owns a wonderful personality. He is healthy and wears a lush and well groomed coat shining in the sun. Although initially timid with strangers, he makes friends quickly and is known to love kids, other dogs and even plays with….hamsters and …chicken….Elvis spent his life between a house and a yard.. He would know a lot of different commands, loves toys and balls, be very affectionate and attached to his family .He is not known to have any handling issues or separation anxiety…It must have been quite tough to separate from such a great and loyal companion. Here at the care center, Elvis is quite a gentle and friendly character. He is well mannered with people and dogs alike and respectful during playgroup time. He comes when called, sits on command, takes treats gently from my hand and very much loves to be caressed. His eyes, one brown and one blue, do not avoid mine or the camera. He seems quite happy to be in company. Elvis is a very likable young man, well brought up, very good looking, sociable and friendly to all. He has been and will make for sure an outstanding companion to the new owner or family who will pick him as a forever best friend. Elvis is at the Manhattan Care Center, waiting for you.

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email [email protected]

Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

*We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
