A volunteer writes: Drama..the perfect word for what this middle aged , healthy, well groomed, well mannered and outstandingly cared for family pet is living. She welcomed the admission counselors with a wiggly body and a wagging tail. She even had a smile..and probably thought she was visiting friends together with her owners. Drama’s owner is ill and can not take care of her dog anymore. She left with us stellar recommendations about her..Great with children, playful and sociable with strangers and other dogs, house trained, loving attention, baths and brushing, no separation anxiety, smart..A wonderful family dog, bottom line…I met Drama the day after her arrival at the care center. She was so stressed and lost..What a beautiful dog! A red head with a hint of grey giving such elegance and nobility to her face. She was eager to go out, pulled on the leas but slowed down as I asked. She did her business at once and wandered aimlessly while free in a pen. She noticed other dogs , went toward them and wagged her tail. She came right away when called and seemed to appreciate my scratching of her head. She even settled by my side at the end of our encounter, crying softly at times. She did not want any treat. I know that Drama will unwind and we will then appreciate all her qualities, those that are the hallmarks of a friendly, loving, sociable and loyal companion.Drama has proven herself for all these years and will be soon ready to do just the same in your loving and caring hands. A volunteer writes: I just love Drama…Yes, she is my type of dog…Loyal and Loving…Low key too…Three L’s…And no, she is not a drama queen, just right now, a bruised heart that is trying very hard to cope with the major changes that happened in her life. She is less anxious, got used to the many volunteers who have walked her, mingles with zillions of other pooches and even went to an adoption event…That’s lots to deal with for a former pampered family dog. I am quite proud of her..We have our time together in the evening, in the yard. A little treat at first and hop, on the bench, tightly bound to me for hugs and kisses. More than a stroll around the block, i know that it is what she expects from me…Closeness…I so hope that a wonderful owner or a lovely family will come along and give Drama a new leash on life and a chance to show what a great pet she is…We can only dream….
