My name is DIESEL. My Animal ID # is A1044016.
I am a male white and black pit bull mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old.

I came in the shelter as a SEIZED on 07/14/2015 from NY 10453, owner surrender reason stated was OWN EVICT. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-022915.

07/14/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
Dog was taken out using a pole. He was reacting strongly to the pole, resisting being taken onto the van or walked. While on the pole, the dog was biting the pole non stop, rolling on the floor and screaming. While in the van, the dog continued biting the pole and leash while I attempted to hook the leash and pole off his neck.

07/23/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Diesel was difficult to remove from his kennel showing teeth, growling and lunges at the rope. He did not show any social behavior. Once he was out of the kennel he stands tall and makes direct eye contact. He was growling loudly expose his front teeth, grabbing at the leash and preparing to lunge forward to the handler. We behavior team decided to place him back in his kennel he was difficult to handle. Due to the behavior demonstrated in the shelter the behavior department believes that Diesel is not an appropriate candidate for SAFER. Diesel did not allow any touch or handling during his medical exam. He was also intolerant of handling growling, tried to attack and bite. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home.
