A volunteer writes: A perfectly packaged little girl….her lush black coat clean and soft, her freckled nose an invitation to be kissed. She’s a bit shy at first, needing time to determine I’m a friend before she allows me to pet her, and then when I find her tickle spot getting that back leg going, I’m her new best friend! As she just came out of playgroup when I met her she was pooped, so we hung out in a doorway for some pictures and sweet talk, and back in the building she totally opened up allowing lots of petting as she cuddled by my side. In group play she’s a bit nervous, sniffing with some interaction but not at all sure of herself. Delilah showed some guarding of her food so is available via a rescue group only, and in the words of Tom Jones who sings about her: ” I saw the flickering shadows of love on her”. She’s ready to begin the next chapter of her life with love and hope.
