A volunteer writes: Ms. Dakota is looking for a doggie weight watchers group….does anyone know of one? Her Rubenesque figure is clothed in a clean, soft coat, and her little legs move well once she gets going, but it’s not without a bit of an effort. It took a bit of coaxing to get her to step out of her kennel, and once outside she peed and then off we go….slowly. After a short walk I sat down on the sidewalk and Ms. Dakota came into my lap for some cuddles and gave me a sweet kiss. She’s a total snuggle girl who is happiest being close to her person. Affectionate, gentle, sweet and cuddly, Ms. Dakota is looking for a couch potato partner – she’ll need some help getting up on the couch, of course, her little short bulldog legs probably can’t climb that high but she’ll be the best cuddler around once next to you. She won’t even complain about watching your favorite TV show, as long as she’s snuggled next to you.

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email [email protected]
Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process. *We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
