12/08/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Quiet and tail-waggy in his kennel, Cody is delighted to make a new friend and head out for a walk. He’s a solid, well fed, handsome fellow, surrendered by his family as they don’t have time to take care of him. We’re told he can be shy around strangers but warms up quickly and then looks for attention. He enjoys baths and getting brushed, is crate trained and does well up to 8 hours, is well behaved when left home alone, is housetrained and never has accidents. Cody pulled on the leash, so may benefit from a harness and/or some leash training, and although we’re told he has no experience with other dogs, seems interested in meeting those we pass on the street. In group, he ignores the helper dog and offers correction if solicited. Good boy, Cody!! Cody loves to play ball, giving chase and then carrying it away for a good chomp. He’s a playful, active dog who will do well in an active home where exercise and nice walks are on the daily to do list. I left our pen for a few minutes and when I returned, Cody greeted me like his long lost bestie. Cody is hoping you’ll stop by to meet him today.
