Medical Behavior Evaluation GREEN

Medical Summary : scan neg; qarh. allows all handling.  bcs 5/9.  hacking cough, difficulty breathing on inspiration and expiration; severe dental disease, immature cataract os, no ocular or nasal discharge; pln wnl; soft tissue masses below mandible and ventral cervical region; no murmurs appreciated; weakly ambulatory; female

Cody needs placement by 5 pm TONIGHT!  A passerby noticed Cody on her way to work, and brought her into BACC.  Cody is having some trouble breathing, and her x-rays show she has an enlarged heart and liver.  She will ne to be transferred to a private veterinarian for further diagnostics, treatment, and supportive care.  Please help this sweets senior get the medical care she needs, and pull her from BACC by 5 pm TONIGHT!

RE-EXAM:

radiographs: vd- enlarged globe shaped heart, decreased serosal detail in abdomen, lateral- enlarged liver, gas in GIT, stenotic trachea in cervical region, round soft tissue opacity  with small amount of air in center at ventral cranial cervical region

a: geriatric, dental disease, immature cataract; enlarged heart and liver on radiographs

respiratory distress/coughing – rule out collapsing trachea, heart disease, neoplasia (mass around trachea vs cranial thorax vs other) vs tracheal foreign body

p: rec immediate new hope placement (5pm deadline).  ehr if condition worsens throughout day.  needs advanced imaging.  poor prognosis
