A volunteer writes: Big, jet black and GORGEOUS! This bouncy big guy is such a delight – able to amuse himself with a toy, housetrained, great on leash, and his tail curves up into an O for OUTSTANDING!. He has delightful manners, doesn’t mind being tethered for photos, loves to be pet, and gets playful/silly as all young dogs do. He was enthralled with both the birds and squirrels in the park, and we’re told that he doesn’t like cats, so no small critters for
Chuck in his new home. Chuck lived with young children and played gently with them, is housebroken (check), and plays well with other dogs. We’re told he’s well behaved when left home alone, and loves to be brushed. In group play he’s social, engaging in running play with
both males and females. Chuck’s eyes sparkle with fun and intelligence, he’s playful without being hyper or mouthy, and settles down quickly into a ‘sit’ for photos and treats. He’s an awesome pup ready to begin his happily ever after and hopes that it will happen with you. If you’re looking for an active companion who loves a good snuggle after play, Chuck is the dog you’ll want by your side.
From his foster:
Chuck is the best lab mix around! He loves company and will follow you around the house, especially for treats! We recently learned how to sit on command and he understands the words no, up and of course, food. He likes to go on adventures in the park, loves to nap and cuddle and doesn’t bark! He really just wants to be friends with most other pups and people. He’s always super excited in the morning to say hi and when you return home. Typically, we went on morning, noon and evening walks, and I would feed chuck at those intervals as well. He did well with both wet and dry food, and with drinking plenty of water. Chuck needs a bit more experience seeing other dogs in public spaces, which is why he gets so excited and tends to pull on the leash. He’s not a fan of smaller dogs, but he’s always interested in larger, equally sized dogs in the park. If you’re looking for a sweet date for the park and netflix after, Chuck’s your guy 🙂
