A Volunteer Wrote: If kisses, snuggles and unconditional love aren’t your thing, then best to stay far far away from this magical creature. The petite boy has clearly been on the wrong end of an argument but he is tenderness incarnate, laying his head on your lap with such contentment when it’s quiet time and wagging his tail with delight at
playing children, other dogs, and besotted adults when it’s time for fun. When he gets over excited he can get a bit mouthy and could use some training that that’s not ok, but he is so eager to please! I would adopt this dog in two seconds if I could–please don’t wait more than three seconds to meet him! He will change your life.
A volunteer writes: If I had a dollar for every heart drawn on Christian’s kennel card I’d be a rich woman!!! What a love! Christian joined us a while ago after having been found in the street apparently attacked by another dog. He’s recovered from his injuries, scabs have formed and he’s doing fabulously!! Sitting quietly upright in his kennel when I approached his tail started to wag and then never stopped. We head out the door, he potties
immediately and although he pulls slightly on leash in his joy at being out he’s entirely manageable. His tail wags as we walk (yes, that’s a recurring theme), it wags a bit harder when he sees lots of kids on their way to school and at every person we pass. In the park we stop to take some pictures and exchange some kisses. Wagging his tail at every dog, Christian seems fine with other dogs of all sizes. In the yard he plays with a toy, comes in my lap for more kisses and hugs, shows off his “sit” in exchange for gently taking a treat and poses for more pictures doing a wonderful head tilt of concentration. Effervescent, sweet and snuggly, his compact shape and wonderful behavior assessment will make him a nice fit in most homes. His wounds are healing over, he bears no grudges for whatever happened, and is simply looking forward to a bright future with a new person or family to love. He’s awesome and ready to prove it to you!
