A staff member writes: Chloe is a senior Shih Tzu that was surrendered because her owner can no longer physically care for her. Chloe’s owner is growing older herself and would like Chloe to have the best home possible. She is a sweet dog who is looking for a place to spend the rest of her days. Help Chloe find a home!
Owner Surrender Profile
Basic Information: Chloe is a 16 year Shih Tzu mix. Chloe was a gift from a family member 15 years ago. Owner stated Chloe has no health issues but appears to have cataracts. Owner surrender Chloe because of owner is sick.
Social Life and Personality: Chloe lives with one elderly adult and children ages 6 and 1 years old. Owner stated Chloe is respectful and tolerant towards everyone she meets. Chloe behavior is unknown towards cat and dog. Chloe is an indoor dog and activity is low. Owner stated Chloe is shy and mellow.
Behavior Issues: Owner stated Chloe never bite or scratched anyone to her knowledge. Chloe is friendly when you touch her food bowl or take toys or treats away from her. Chloe goes to the groomer to takes baths and get her nails trimmed. Chloe is friendly towards unfamiliar people approaching the house or family member.
For a New Family to Know: Chloe is trained to use the bathroom indoors on piddle pads and newspaper. Chloe doesn’t know any commands. Chloe doesn’t play with toys and never been crate trained. Chloe likes to follow owner around the house or stay in her favorite spot which is the kitchen. Chloe is well behaved when home alone. Chloe eats wet food called Pedigree twice a day. Chloe likes to eat apples for treats. Chloe has a pet bed she sleeps on located in the kitchen.
Intake Behavior: Upon intake Chloe was quiet and relaxed. She scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.
