08/08/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Looking like he’s wearing eye makeup and a Charlie Chaplin mustache, this handsome tan boy is sooooooooooo housetrained he peed endlessly and often the moment we were outside. Beautifully groomed and the perfect weight for his size, Chazz was found in the yard of an abandoned home but was clearly a well taken care of pup. He’s friendly, loves treats and takes them gently, has good leash manners and is quiet in his kennel. Chasing after a stuffed toy he gives it a few good shakes, and brings it part way back before dropping it. He loves being pet, and looks up at me with his gorgeous eyes as I stroke his head. In group play he greets other dogs briefly. Chazz is looking for a new home in which plenty of exercise and lots of love are his to cherish. Are you the home that Chazz is looking for?
08/08/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Chazz pulls a bit on the leash. He was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment – jumped up. He was excited during some of the handling items, but had soft body language. Chazz was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. Chazz did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. He took the toy and the rawhide with a soft body language. Chazz is an active dog he need a significant amount of exercise and mental stimulation. The behavior department feels that he can go to an experience home. Look: 3.
