Medical Summary S:Calm and easily handled, walking in circles to the right O: Scan: negative Sex: male intact Appearance: QARH Integument: Intact other than ruptured L anal gland abscess EENT: OU clear, AU erythema on pinnae, bilateral aural debris, stenotic ear canals, maloderous discharge, No nasal d/c Oral cavity: MM pink, CRT <2sec,moderate dental tartar PLN: WNL H/L: No murmur or arrhythmias, Lungs clear ABD: Soft non painful, no palpable masses or organomegaly U/G: male intact, scrotal testse M/S: Amb x 4, no appreciable lameness, bcs 3/9, bilateral luxating patellas grade III/VI Neuro: normal CP and CN with exception of decreased menace, subtle left head tilt, no nystagmus Rectal: left sided ruptured anal gland abscess with draining prulent material full otoscopic exam not performed due to stenotic ear canals- cocci and rods on cytology A: Otitis externa-severe and chronic- r/o bacterial vs. fungal vs. other mild dental disease left head tilt-r/o vestibular vs. other intracranial vs. extracranial Circling- r/o neoplasia vs. vascular accident vs. infectious/inflammatory bilateral grade 3/4 MPL Ruptured L anal gland abscess P: Cannot assess inner ear, will start baytril 10mg/kg PO Q24 x 21 days in case of otitis media and also to tx anal gland abscess, no appropriate topical ear meds available Prognosis: good
