05/27/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Charles answered my prayers today. The first, when leashing up this pit/mastiff handsome guy after a few trying pulls to the park with other dogs: “Please be good on a leash…” Done, even though he appears housetrained and must have been so eager to get out. “Please be good with other dogs,” as another unleashed dog in the park approached him, much to both of our surprise. Done–tail wags, sweetness, unreactive. Then, sitting on a bench with this dignified dude and watching him come in close to seal the deal, “Please, please be a good kisser without super stinky breath….” Done, done, done. What a kisser… and breath not so bad. Charles has everything going for him, except for having his one prayer answered: A home to call his own. Please, won’t you come meet this stunning, sweet guy? You ask, and we promise he will answer.
