Helper dog: A1056618 Carlo came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake it was reported Carlo have some sort of neurological problem, he could not stand up straight and was sent to medical, no handling was conducted at this time. During SAFER Carlo came into the assessment room calm with his tail wagging, he was friendly and social towards the handler, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Tag interaction was skipped due to his medical condition. For paw squeeze test, flank was applied both times due to his medical condition and not able to balance him-self properly. During the resources portion of the assessment Carlo was easy to handle when engaged with the items. Carlo appears to be sociable, and did not display any behaviors concerns, so the department feels she can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted.
