Medical Summary Has a skin condition and is very dry Came with medicated shampoo such as ” Dogs and Mites”, Veterinary Formula Clinical Care” and “Nu-Stock” Possible demodex Eyes= possible conjuctivitis vs allergies Right eye is closed Is put on a vet check Nose=no discharge Teeth are intact and white As of now no V/S/C/D NOSF Came in with A1040647 (Six)

A volunteer writes:   Joining us with his housemate and possible litter mate Sailor (A1040647), Captain Wink is every bit as playful and snuggly as Sailor is.   He has an eye issue but nothing stops him from being playful, bouncy and snuggly, happy for attention, happy to be out, and happy to curl up on my lap and exchange some kisses.   He also has some mange which should be easy to clear up with medicated baths,  nutritious food, and perhaps a prescription to speed the process.   The great thing about dogs, and puppies especially, is they have no idea that they are not 100%.   Captain Wink doesn’t realize he has an eye issue, and he bounces along, comes running when I call him, is terrific on the leash, takes treats gently, and loves to hang out on my lap.   He’s amazing!  Just a super cuddly little guy, he’s the perfect fit on my lap,  content to bury his head in my neck for a good cuddle.  He’s small enough to fit into any living situation, and even at full grown size he won’t be a big dog.  Letting me put a scarf on him for some pictures, he poses like a pro, responding to my kissy sounds to get his attention.  His freckled little nose leads the way to finding the treat and he takes it easily.  Captain Wink is looking for his forever home, his person to love with all his might who will help him grow up in every way.   This awesome dog is looking for an equally awesome person.  Is it you?

a: malasezzia dermatitis and otitis

P: otibiotic, ketoconazole, baths

good prognosis with treatment but medicated baths may be lifelong

GROUP BEHAVIOR:

When off leash with other dogs Captain Wink is social and playful. He engages in rough, vocal play with a solicitous female.
