The crowd goes wild…the winner is Miss California…cheer, yay, thunderous applause, foot stomping, finger snapping and more! Seriously, California is cheer worthy as she’s such an awesome little girl, surrendered by her family due to cost. Having lived with 6 adults and 2 children, experienced with kids 1-7 with whom she played gently, housetrained, crate trained (although doesn’t need it as she’s well behaved when left alone), and knows ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’ and ‘stay’. I fell in love with her smiling face, wagging tail and happy personality. Demonstrating her housetraining skills the moment we were out of the building, she showed off nice leash manners as we walked to the park. She jumps up on the leash from time to time to play but releases quickly and it’s no biggie. When she looks up with that adorable smiling face as if saying, ‘wha…..’ you can’t help but smile with her! Her tail wags as we walk, and even passersby smile along with her. Smiling is contagious, especially a gorgeous pittie smile! California didn’t mind being tethered for photos, posing with soft eye contact and her signature smile. Sitting for a treat, she sat before I asked her to,even though she decided my treats weren’t worth the calories – here’s a girl who watches her figure :). California seems to like other dogs, has playful friendly energy, gives delicious kisses and aced her behavior assessment indicating she’ll be a good fit in most homes. She needs some nutritious food to help her coat get lush and shiny, and a loving family with whom to snuggle and play. She’s awesome, you’ll cheer….I promise.
