I am a male brown and white am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 6 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a SEIZED on 05/13/2015 from NY 10027, owner surrender reason stated was SEARCH WAR. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-013704.

05/13/15 12:42 During tinake would approach extended hand and allow to be scanned (negative), collared, pictured, and leashed without aggression. When taken back for vaccines allowed to be held and showed no signs of aggression. When touched would have soft, wiggly body and attempt to jump onto admission counselor.

A volunteer writes: Puppies are so irresistibly cute and Cadbury is no exception. All wiggly and soft with a round little shape, feet that he needs to grow into, puppy clumsy and playful, Cadbury is guaranteed to steal your heart the moment you meet him. His light tan eyes match his coat, and they gaze up in the innocence of puppyhood ready to play and snuggle. Toys are fun to shake and squeak (what puppy doesn’t love toys?), and balls are fun to chase. His new person will teach him ‘retrieve’. He already knows how to sit when asked (plop that cute little tusch down), and takes a treat gently. In group play Cadbury is playful with other dogs and respectful if another dog doesn’t want to engage. This is one smart little dude! Cadbury has clearly been well taken care of and is looking for his new person or family. Puppies aren’t for everyone as they need structure, training, and lots of time. If you’re a puppy person, Cadbury hopes you’ll stop by to meet him. You’ll never turn on your TV again when you have Cadbury to watch – he’s guaranteed to make you smile.

Cadbury pulls a bit on the leash. He was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment – jumped up. Cadbury was excited during some of the handling items, but had soft body language. He engages in play, body is loose and wiggly, mouth open. Cadbury was a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language. Cadbury took the toy and rawhide away with a soft body language. Cadbury an active dog he need a significant amount of exercise and mental stimulation. The behavior department feels that he can go to an experienced home. Look: 3. Dog jumps on the Assessor, consistently rubs his shoulder on the Assessor, and will not allow Assessor to conduct the assessment. Sensitivity: 2. Dog displays high energy and movement, but it is directed toward getting closer to the Assessor. His body is soft, likely panting, may jump up between attempts to lick Assessor. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Food: 2. Dog follows the dish with his tail down, body likely a bit stiff. Dog lifts head after a bit of pressure from hand to cheek. Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. When off leash with other dogs Cadbury is playful with an appropriate female and respectful with dogs who may not be comfortable.

He is tolerant of mounting. 5/24 update: Cadbury is social and playful. He is tolerant of mounting and pushiness.
