10/29/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: We were told that Bruno and his little housemate, Chubby, were wary of strangers and although initially shy here at the care center, Bruno has shown only excitement and happiness to be with his caretakers, rolling on his back for caresses or snuggling in various laps….Bruno was owned since puppyhood by the same family and surrendered into our care as his owners are moving. He lived happily and played with a host of children as well as with his canine friend. Bruno is known to be housetrained, quite playful, affectionate, a good walker and likes to meet with other dogs properly introduced. Although he did not show any guarding of his food at the care center, he would not like his plate to be removed suddenly from under his nose…He would respect the house while left alone but definitively prefers to be in company. Bruno was ready when I showed up at his door..He had just come back from a walk with another volunteer…but did not advertise it. He strolled beautifully by my side, did his business in one stop and came to me for caresses. A staff was eating a humus sandwich. Bruno was dancing on his hinds in the hope to get his share. Bruno is a really cute little mensh, a bit timid at first and who has been well cared for. His coat is perfect, a blend of various browns and so silky. His eyes are velvety and soulful. I know he will make quite a nice companion and a fun and sweet friend to live with. Come and meet Bruno at the Manhattan Care Center. He so belongs to a loving home
