A volunteer writes: Bruno is an utterly adorable, completely charming, and incredibly sweet little meatball! I love the way his face is painted, his laugh lines, and the shape of his smile. He is easy to handle, seems very housebroken, and takes treats very softly. Though he wasn’t allowed on the furniture in his previous home, when I invite him he is happy to join me on a bench. He loves to be pet, especially on his itchy back end – a little petting and he starts doing the limbo, scratching along with his back leg, and poking his tongue in and out as his hard-to-get-to itches are reached! In his cage he props his little legs on the door to solicit attention, and outside props them on me! He offers lots of tail wags and kisses as I fawn over him and is very friendly to all the people we encounter. His former owner reports that he has been socialized with children of all ages and is very tolerant and respectful of them. He is even said to be playful and relaxed around cats – a kitty pittie! Though he rarely interacted with other dogs before, Bruno is trying out his dog socialization at the shelter. In playgroup he is said to be a bit nervous and hasn’t joined the party yet, but greets others politely. When I’ve had him in the yard and there is a dog in the adjacent pen he seems very interested and remains waggy and non-reactive while sniffing the other. Bruno is already neutered and bringing him home today will make all of your tomorrows better – he is a real treat!
