08/11/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Brooklyn can be a little like a bull in a china shop, but he is just so happy to be in that china shop (and especially to be in it with his person) it’s hard not to just smile along with him! He is tall dark and handsome and his face channels a Bull Terrier. It seems everyone we encounter on our walks, dog or human, is a friend in Brooklyn’s eyes. His former owner reports that he gets along with other dogs and enjoys roughhousing. He is used to eating unlimited home cooked meals, but Brooklyn doesn’t seem too picky – he hasn’t turned his nose up at any of my treats and will “sit” for them. He pulls on the leash, but in an excited, not disconnected, way and seems very housebroken. Brooklyn seems to love toys and when he finds a stray tennis ball he is completely adorable as he thrashes his head around while prancing around with it in his mouth. The first time I took him out he stole the leash I had set down on the bench! He was delighted with his treasure, wagging his tail and looking a me as if to say “look what I found!”, but readily traded for a treat. Brooklyn will need lots of exercise and some guidance, but he seems so eager to please and his happy-go-lucky spirit is contagious! This sweet boy would love to meet you at Brooklyn ACC!
