06/13/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Brock walks calmly on leash. He was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body. He was calm and relaxed during handling. Brock was distracted focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. He was a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language. Brock was not interested in toys but took the rawhide away with a soft body language. He approaches the helper dog with his tail at spine level, body not stiff, eras relaxed, and lip long.
Brock did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that he can go to an Average home.

A volunteer writes: Brock wears my favorite color combination – gray and tan. He’s slender (a bit too much in my opinion), with a gorgeous face that frames expressive hazel eyes. Resting in his kennel when I arrived to take him out, he got up immediately tail wagging. His leash manners are easy, and he’s a ‘stop and smell the roses’ kind of a dog…..everything is sniff worthy, and no smell shall go unnoticed. It all makes for a nice relaxing walk with my new friend. He wags his tail gently when I tell him what a good boy he is, and then takes a treat super gently. Posing for some pictures in the park he doesn’t mind being tethered and makes soft eye contact as he poses. A slow and easy walk back to the shelter where he hangs out in the office with me as we take care of some paperwork. Putting his head in my lap for some petting, he’s happy to take advantage of this extra time together. Calm and quiet Brock is hoping to find his new person today – someone, who like him, likes to stop and smell the roses…..
