I am a female white poodle min mix. The shelter thinks I am about 15 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 07/24/2015 from NY 11691, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB.
MOST RECENT MEDICAL INFORMATION AND WEIGHT
07/26/2015 Exam Type RE-EXAM – Medical Rating is 4 NC – SEVERE CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, Behavior Rating is NONE, Weight 11.6 LBS.
S/O: Dog seems BAR, but frail; cataracts OU; grade 4/4 dental dz; heart/lungs auscult wnl; several firm nodular masses right caudal mammary chain; luxating patella LH; decreased ROM both hips, seems to have back pain, very guarded on abdominal palpation A: Mammary masses are 50:50 in dogs (50% benign 50% malignant); I suspect this dog will need full mouth extractions; luxating patellas are common in small breed dogs; I highly suspect this dog has OA and/or DJD P: Recommend dental; masses should be removed if/when spayed; I feel this dog would do well on a joint supplement +/- NSAID prn; starting on Meloxicam 1.5mg/mL liq – 0.35mLs PO SID while in the shelter; recheck 3 days

07/24/15 16:49 Basic Information: Owner believes Brittany is a 15 years female poodle. Owner found Brittany 6 months ago as a stray. Owner surrenders Brittany due to personal problems. Social Life and Personality: Brittany lived with two adults for the past 6 months. She is tolerant and respectful towards everyone in the household. Her behavior is unknown towards other animals. She is indoors only and activity level is low. Owner stated Brittany is mellow and friendly. Behavior Issues: Brittany never bitten or scratched anyone to owner’s knowledge. She barks when someone knocks on the door. She likes to eat her food by taking it out the bowl and eating in a corner. She likes to take baths and be brushed. She barks at unfamiliar people who approach the home. For a New Family to Know: Brittany urinates and defecates indoors on clothing. She know command ” go to corner”. She doesn’t play with toys. She likes to be in the same room as owner. She eats dry foo called Beneful. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Brittany was calm and relaxed. She growled when she saw other dogs. She scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.

scan negative intact female weight: 11.6lbs silver toning to eyes clean ears clean coat moderate dental tartar on teeth along with gingivitis and possible dental disease has masses on her stomach nails slighly long – trimmed overall body condition is good sweet girl – easy to handle QARH NOSF
