Braveheart came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. During his relief walk Braveheart pulls strongly on the leash During SAFER Braveheart came into the assessment room anxious and panting, during tag-interaction he tried to bite the assessor, not all handling item was tested at the moment. Food item he allowed his head to be removed from the bowl when the assess-a-hand was applied to his cheek, toy item he settle closed firm, loose and wiggly and rawhide item he showed no interest. Due to some behavioral concerns we recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 5. Dog tries to bite. Food: 1. Dog calmly allows the food to be moved, follows the dish, but does not interfere with the dish’s movement. Dog’s body is soft and loose, eyes soft, tail neutral. He lifts his head when hand is pushed against his cheek. Toy 1: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog-to-dog: When off leash with other dogs,Braveheart is sexually motivated, a bit slow to take corrections. Bouncy and tolerant, but no real play.
