Medical Summary Scan negative Male Intact BARH Eyes: clear Ears: bloody discharge AS, symmetrical areas of alopecia and scaling on outer pinna, cleaned with ear cleansing solution, applied 4 drops Mometamax Nose: mild crusting on nasal planum Teeth: yellow, mild plaque on molars Skin/Coat: NSF Applied 4 cc Activyl intrascapular Gave 7.2 cc Pyrantel PO
Basic Information: Boomer is a 5 year old male German shepherd that came in as owner surrender. Owner stated that he got him from a breeder when he was a puppy and has had him since. He can no longer keep him because he is selling his house.
Social Life & Personality: Boomer is relaxed, playful and respectful with children and other dogs. Owner stated that he has a small dog at home that Boomer is often playful with. He has not interacted with cats. He is housetrained and is kept mostly outdoors. He has a medium activity level and owner described him as playful, affectionate, mellow and friendly.
Behavior Issues: Owner stated that Boomer does not like to be alone. Since his brother was surrendered to us a week ago, he cries at night. He displays no their signs of behavior issues. He isn’t bothered with having his food bowl touched while eating or having treats or objects taken from him. He enjoys baths is friendly to strangers and unfamiliar visitors. Upon intake, Boomer was loose bodied and allowed all handling. He was collard and photographed.
For a New Family to Know: Boomer knows the commands sit, stay and down. For exercise he receives playtime in the yard only. He did not have any toys and has never been crate trained. When left in the yard alone, he tends to whine. He eats dry food only and is fed once a day. He sleeps in a dog house in the yard.
PLAYGROUP: When off leash with other dogs, Boomer greets the other dog politely and seems interested when play is solicited but does not actually engage in play.
