07/30/15 13:18 Basic Information: Boobie is 11 year old altered male pitbull mix. Owner stated he had Boobie since he was a week old. Boobie appears to be healthy and has no health issues owner stated. Owner surrenders Boobie due to living situations. Social Life and Personality: Boobie lived with two adults and been around children ages 4,5, and 8 years old. Owner stated Boobie loves children. He is relaxed, respectful and tolerant towards everyone he meets. He lived with another dog name Bella A1045929. Boobie and Bella is always together and owners doesn’t know their behavior when separated. They are playful and respectful towards other dogs and each other. Boobie will bark at cats but never aggressive. He is mostly indoors and activity level to a medium. Owner stated Boobie is affectionate, mellow, independent and friendly. Behavior Issues: Boobie never bitten or scratched anyone owner stated. He doesn’t resource guards his food, toys or treats. He likes to take baths and goes to the groomer to have hi nails trimmed. He barks at unfamiliar people approaching the house or family member to alert owner someone is coming but is friendly afterwards. For a New Family to Know: Boobie is house trained and use the bathroom in the backyard. If he goes on walks he is off a leash. Boobie knows commands sit, go in car, upstairs, and, lay down. He is crate trained and mostly stays in a crate when company comes over or time to sleep. He likes to play with balls or stay in his favorite spot. Boobie is afraid of fireworks and will lay next to owner. He loves attention and be to pet. He eats dry food called Alpo twice a day. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Boobie was docile and relaxed. He ate treats and sat on command. He scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.

Boobie previously lived with 2 adults and has been around children ages 4, 5, and 8 years old. The owner stated Boobie loves children and he is relaxed, respectful and tolerant towards everyone he meets. The owner describes Boobie as affectionate, mellow, independent, friendly and he has a medium activity level. The owner mentioned Boobie will bark at unfamiliar people approaching the house or family member to alert owners someone is coming but is friendly afterwards. The owner stated Boobie is house trained and crate trained. At intake Boobie was docile and relaxed, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Boobie came into the assessment room calm and relaxed, he was friendly towards the assessor, sensitivity his body was tense, Boobie was relaxed during tag-interaction, when the first paw squeeze was attempted his mouth was closed with stiff body posture, for the second attempt flank was applied and Boobie didn’t respond. He displayed no interest in any of the resource items during this portion of the assessment, so the behavior department feels Boobie can be suitable for an “experience” adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. His ears are back, his tail is down, and he has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, his tail is between his legs, body tense, mouth closed. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1: 3. Dog closes mouth, becomes stiff. Flank squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all. Food: 1. No interest. Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest.

When off leash with other dogs, Koobie greets the other dog politely before exploring his surroundings. 8/4 update: Koobie initially greets the other dog politely but seems to become uncomfortable with prolonged interaction, vocalizing toward the other dog and avoiding interaction. 8/6 update: Koobie greets well and is interested but does not engage in play. He will offer correction when play is solicited and will begin to vocalize in the pen. 8/7 update: Koobie is becoming more interested in other dogs but does not engage in play. He will offer correction when play is solicited. 8/8 update: Koobie greets politely but will correct a playful dog when he is solicited.
