05/12/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/12/15 11:41 Blondie is an approximately 7 year old female chihuahua. The owner received her as a gift. She is being surrendered becauseof vet costs and because she recently had twins and cannot care for her. The owner reported that recently a small red bump has appreared on blondies stomach area. There are no other no known health problems. Around strangers, blondie is very shy for a few hours until she gets to know you. She plays gentle with adults and children. She has been around children the ages of 3 years old, and two 6 month olds. She has been mostly kept indoorsand she barks alot but stops when you tell her to. She goes in the yard but does not like to go potty outside so they have a little section for her in the house where she goes potty. She is not bothered by loud noises or storms. She does not like being groomed because of a bad experience. The owner describes blondie as shy, and independent. She said that Blondie is the perfect lapdog and thats her favorite thing about her. She said that Blondie loves to play and play dress up. At home, she follows the family around and likes to sleep on their laps. When left alone at home, she behaves. She really has not been outside on a leash , so she does not react well to leashes. Blondie is house trained and was being fed both wet and dry food. She loves to play with squeaky and stuffed toys. During intake, blondie was very shy and fearful. When we tried to leash her she growled and stood close to her owner. she allowed photographs but not to be collared. She was calm when being carried and put into a kennel.
