08/29/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/29/15 16:51 BASIC INFO Billy is a 10 year old APBT/Sharpei mix. His family got him 10 years ago when he was left at their door (his owner is a super of an apt building). Due to unforeseen circumstances, he doesn’t have a place for his dogs anymore. He rehomed 3 of his 14 dogs and is surrendering the rest. SOCIALIZATION Billy is friendly and outgoing with strangers. He lived with a child who’s currently 5 years old and is relaxed, playful, and tolerant with him. He plays exuberantly with people. King lived with 13 other large dogs including his son King A1049278. He’s respectful of other dogs of all sexes. He growls at cats outside of his fence. He’s never bit any people or animals. BEHAVIOR Billy doesn’t mind storms. He’s friendly with strangers who approach his home/family. He doesn’t mind when someone takes his food/treat/toy, moves him off furniture, holds/restrains him, wakes him up, or brushes him. He’s nervous during baths. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Billy’s family describes him as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, and medium energy. They love that he’s attentive and obedient. He follows his family around. He likes to play chase. He lived inside and ate dry Pedigree and Purina foods. He loves chicken and rice. He’s housetrained and never has accidents. He potties on cement. He’s well-behaved while home alone. He is well-behaved while outside alone within his 8′ chain link fence for short periods of time. He’s crate-trained and does well in his crate during maintenance in his home. He knows sit and come. He went for slow walks and doesn’t pull much on his leash. INTAKE Billy initially barked at us when we approached. His owner pet and played with him and he had a loose, wiggly body and wagging tail. After a few minutes, Billy had a soft body around while he approached, sniffed, and stood around us. We pet him only a little. He took treats gently and caught all of the ones we tossed for him. His collared and scanned him (-) and positioned him for pictures. He went into his kennel when his owner asked him to. Billy had a soft body and wagging tail when people and dogs passed his kennel. He took treats nicely. He allowed me to leash him and encourage him into the van without resisting or vocalizing.

09/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Billy pulls hard on the leash. He was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment – jumped up. He was excited during some of the handling items, but had soft body language. Billy was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. He showed some concerning behavior during the food bowl test – stiffening and growling, but did not snap at or bite the assess-a-hand. He was not interested in toys or rawhide. Billy rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression. Billy was surrender to us. According to his previous owner Billy is friendly and outgoing with strangers.
