I am a male chocolate and white american staff mix. The shelter thinks I am about 8 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 04/02/2015 from NY 11221, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Vet check for kennel cough- day 4 of treatment. This AM, patient was BAR, no c/s/v/d observed in kennel. Mild serous nasal discharge observed Attention seeking, wagging tail. P: 1. Continue with Doxycycline 2. Recheck on day 8

04/04/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD

Helper Dog:A1031753 Big Mac came into the care center as a stray surrender, so his past behavior in a home is unknown. At intake it was noted that Big Mac had soft body language when interacting with the counselors and allowed all handling. During SAFER Big Mac was sociable towards the assessor and allowed all handling without issue. He was playful during the tag interaction, but was a bit rough when jumping on the assessor. Big mac became stiff during the food item, and could not be pushed out of the food bowl. He was also stiff when the assessor attempted to remove the toy item, and he only showed minimal interest in the rawhides. During the dog-dog interaction Big Mac had stiff body language when approaching the helper dog. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag:2. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Dog jumps up and through body on assessor during play. Squeeze 1 & 2: 2. Dog quickly pulls back. Food: 3. Dog follows the dish, his tail is down ears are forward. His body is stiff. Dog does not lift his head from the bowl when hand is applied to his cheek. Toy 1: 3. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm hold. His body is stiff. Rawhide: 1. Minimal interest in rawhide, dog smells, then turns away. Dog-dog: 3. Dog approaches the helper dog by rushing in with his tail high, stiff body, head tall, and ears erect.

When off leash with other dogs, Big Mac is a bit stiff when initially greeting a female at the gate but wags his tail and relaxes when greeting in the yard. He shows a bit of interest in play but mostly wanders the yard. He is tolerant and respectful.

Medical rating was 3 NC – MAJOR CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, behavior rating was NONE
scanned negative male 8 years old ~ physical exam eetn-no eye or nasal discharge -cloudy eyes -ears wnl -moderate gingivitis and tartar built skin-no fleas or ticks noted (activyl applied) allows ahndling, no sign of aggression and very sweet barh nosf
