06/12/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Bay came to us as a stray on 6/12/15. Upon intake it was recorded that Bay was a bit shy, but had loose body language when being handled. She was very interested in interacting with the assessor when entering the behavior room. She allowed the assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items while maintaining very soft body language. Bay displayed no interest in any of the resource items on this portion of the assessment. When interacting with another dog on leash, Bay approached with very friendly and soft body language. The behavior department believes that Bay can go to an average home. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is closed for a portion of the assessment item. Tag: Not conducted due to medical condition. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Food: 1. Minimal interest. Dog smells, licks and mouths, then walks away. Toy: 1. Minimal interest. Dog smells, licks and mouths, then walks away. Rawhide: 1. Minimal interest.
