Puppy, puppy, puppy, puppy…..That is what you get with Rintintin, a lovely tiny miny ebony peanut we have at the Manhattan Care Center. Rintintin is with us as his owner lost his home. He has been well cared for, was most likely loved and played with. He is beautifully made, healthy looking, plump but mostly friendly, affectionate and sociable with people and dogs alike. Yes, he is a very good babe anyone would love to have in their home . As a matter of fact, Rintintin’s former master had so many great things to say about him. Rintintin has an adorable little face, sparkling eyes and looks at me with such a cute pout, sitting attentively and waiting for a treat or the ball. Rintintin seems to love everyone, welcoming staff and other pooches. I observed him in a doggies playgroups. He had such a ball….Puppies are work, true and adopting one should not be a light decision. But if your heart is set on bringing one up….Rintintin is the one, your future best friend and loyal companion.Do not make him wait too long…A place in your heart and your home is needed right now.

BASIC INFO
Batman originally came to ACC when his first owners were between homes. They had purchased him from a breeder and had him for 4 months. Batman’s family adopted him from ACC 8 months ago. They surrendered him due to cost and his owner’s health.
Batman has had dermatitis on and off, likely environmental. He had a localized bacterial infection that developed into a mass on his right rear leg. It went away with amoxicillin.
SOCIALIZATION
Batman is friendly/outgoing with strangers. He lived with a 2 year old child and was relaxed, playful, and super tolerant with her. He plays exuberantly with adults but gently with children. Dogs have stayed in his home and he meets others outside. A cat visited his home as well. He’s relaxed, playful, tolerant, and curious with other animals. He plays somewhat rough with them. He’s never bit any people or animals.
BEHAVIOR
Batman doesn’t mind storms. He doesn’t mind when someone takes his food/treat/toy, moves him off furniture, holds/restrains him, wakes him up, bathes him, brushes him, or trims his nails. He’s friendly with strangers who approach his home/family.
FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW
Batman’s family describes him as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, mellow, excitable, attentive, obedient, goofy, and high energy. He follows his family around and his favorite things are kisses and belly rubs. He plays with ropes and stuffed toys. He loves to play and plays fetch, chase, tug, and wrestles. He lived inside and slept on a dog bed. He ate dry and wet Beneful food. His favorite snack is cheese. He’s housetrained, potties anywhere outside, and never has accidents. He’s usually well-behaved while home alone but occasionally chews shoes if they’re left out. He’s crate-trained but doesn’t need to be crated anymore. He knows sit, come, and drop it. He goes for slow walks and pulls on his leash.
INTAKE
Batman had a loose, wiggly body, open mouth, and wagging tail while we pet, scanned (-), collared, photographed, switched leashes, and put him into a kennel. He took treats gently, sat when asked, leaned into me, and licked me gently. He waddles around, wiggling his butt.
