I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/04/2015 from NY 10454, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Barnita walks calmly on leash. She was calm and relaxed during handling. Barnita was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. She was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body. Barnita did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. She was not interested in rawhide or toys. Barnita was relaxed when approaching a friendly dog, but was not playful. Barnita did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) she is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Food 1. Dog lifts head and ceases eating when you reach to pull the bowl away Toy 1. No interest. Rawhide: 1.
