PROFILE :
Bam Bam A1050646 a 3yr old male blue & white Amer Staff canine who was found as a stray 2yrs ago & his daughter Quka (pronounced Kuka) A1050652 a 7month female AMPBT/Am Staff mix who was born at home are being surrendered due to the owner moving across the country and is unable to take them with him. Bam Bam was last seen at a vet two years ago and currently is experiencing ear infections. Quka hasn’t been to a veterinarian.
Bam Bam is friendly/outgoing with strangers. Quka is fearful and has never been outside the home (besides the yard). She needs time to adjust to new people. Both have lived/spent time with children ages 6yrs, 8yrs & a 4yr old neighbor. They are gentle & exuberant with them also with adults, the one cat in the home and each other however Quka is attactched more so to her mother (not brought in). Neither Bam Bam nor Quka have ever bitten/scratched a person or animal.
Bam Bam & Quka are nervous and will bark during thunderstorms/fireworks. Behaviors are unknown for the following because they haven’t been done to them: having their food/food bowls, toys or treats touched/moved, being moved off of furniture, being held/restrained, being disturbed while sleeping/resting or having their nails trimmed. They enjoy being brushed and bathed. If someone unfamiliar comes to the home they will bark, Bam Bam will approach but Quka will hide or stay with her mom.
Bam Bam & Quka are described as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, excitable. Quka with new people is shy & fearful. Their activity levels are medium-very high. The owner likes how good they are with each other & the kids.Their favorite activities are playing and being affectionate. When the owner is home Bam Bam & Quka will follow them around sometimes. Both enjoy ball, chew/bones & rope toys and games of fetch, chase & tug. They are indoors mostly with access to a yard. They sleep on canvas paint covers. Both eat dry Pedigree food, Quka 2x a day & Bam Bam 1x a day. Both are house broken and “go” in the yard. When left in both the yard and the home alone they’re well behaved. Bam Bam’s known commands are “sit”, “go get the ball” & “go upstairs”. On the leash Bam Bam pulls sometimes and Quka hasn’t been walked outside, she needed to be carried in.
Bam Bam was very friendly, affectionate (gave hugs & kisses) and attention seeking. He allowed all handling. He allowed us to scan (-), collar and take his pictures. Quka was nervous/fearful but allowed handling.
