04/18/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Baisley came to us as a stray on 4/14/15. Baisley allowed the assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items without displaying any signs of aggression. He did become a bit over aroused during the tag test and jumped on the assessor a bit strongly at times but did not escalate. He showed some concerning behavior during the food bowl test – stiffening and growling, but did not snap at or bite the assess-a-hand. Baisley proved easy to handle when chewing on the toy item, and only displayed minimal interest in the rawhide on this portion of the assessment. The behavior department believes that Baisley would do best in a home with an experienced owner and no children. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 2. Dog displays high energy and movement, but it is directed toward getting closer to the Assessor. His body is soft, panting, may jump up between attempts to lick Assessor. Tag: 2. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. He indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Dog becomes quickly aroused and jumps on assessor a bit strongly. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2: 2. Dog gently places his open mouth over the Assessor’s hand without applying pressure. Food: 4. Dog growls. Toy 1: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. Rawhide1: Minimal interest. Dog smells, licks and mouths, then turns away. Dog-Dog: When off leash with other dogs, Baisley is nervous in the yard but is tolerant when greeted.
