A shelter staff member writes: Bailey is an all-around great girl! She is overly affectionate and loves everyone. She looks mainly all lab but has a bit of a mix in her. As per her owner, Bailey wants to be a lap dog and good with other dogs. She does have a mass on her leg that does need follow up attention. Please consider Bailey! She will make a great couch potato next to you!

SAFER – 5/5/15
Bailey came to our center as an owner surrender stating she is too rambunctious for their two year old child. Owner only owned Bailey for one month, before that she lived with an elderly woman, the surrender’s grandmother. She walked nicely on leash to the SAFER assessment with no pulling. Bailey held gaze during Look item for three full seconds. She was relaxed and accepted the touch during Sensitivity item. Bailey followed at the end of the leash during Tag, but not engaged in play. She settled instantly at the end of game. Bailey pulled her paw out gently during Squeeze item, with soft, loose, body. She ceased eating and lifted her head when assess-a-hand approached food dish. Bailey had no interest in Toy and easily relinquished rawhide. The Behavior Team feels Bailey would do well in an Average home.
Look: 1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds.
Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, her tail is between her legs, ears back..
Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft.

Food: 1. Dog lifts head and ceases eating when you reach to pull the bowl away or push her out.
Toy: 1. No interest.
Rawhide: 1. Dog will relinquish rawhide to you.
