A volunteer writes:
Astrid hides well her game. Shy and scared in her arrival kennel, she sprouts into a silly and flirty young girl once leash free in a pen. She loves to run, play tag, go after and catch a ball and if it was not enough, she is a great playmate in playgroups with other dogs. She loves food, of course and sits for it (after a few prompts, though.) She is a friendly gal with absolutely no handling issues and relishes kisses and hugs. She looks like a puppy or a little girl who is ready for all adventures. She is such a joy to spend time with and yes, yesterday, as I played with her, I was able to forget what ever was going on around me. Yep, she is THAT great!!! Astrid walks well on the leash and eliminates in the street. She is welcoming of nice comments made about her in the street and is friendly to people and dogs alike met on the way. Astrid is a great gal who did very well on her behavioral evaluation at the care center. Now, all what she is waiting for is her new owner or family she promises to love for ever and ever. Come and meet Astrid at the Manhattan Care Center and make her your very best friend.
