A volunteer writes: Surrendered by his family due to allergies, Ash comes with an outstanding resume, and after spending time with him I can see that he earned his Beginner behavior assessment. He’s an awesome young pup, well behaved, responsive, affectionate, good with other dogs playing exuberantly, friendly to all and easy to be with. No puppy crazies in this guy – just nice manners, a wagging tail and sparkling eyes. Ash is beautiful groomed in his clean white coat, and his grey accents must account for the name ‘Ash’. We’re told he’s been around kids, 4,8, and 9 years old, is relaxed, playful and gentle with them, is housetrained and walked at least 2x a day (morning and night), is afraid of baths, is well behaved when home alone, knows “at ease” (sit), “bad boy” (stop), “lets go”, and “bye bye” (when calling him and he’s slow to come). Ash sat as soon as he saw a treat in my hand, takes it very gently, and posed perfectly for some photos. Ash may not like the hot sun as he took refuge whenever he could, greeting a staff member and then going under his legs, going under the bench and my legs in the backyard pen, and looking for shade when he could find it. Young Mr. Ash is a total delight and ready to make his debut in your family. Don’t wait too long as he’s ready to find a new family to love!
