07/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
ARF walks calmly on leash. He was fearful and repeatedly attempted to get away from the handler during the assessment. He becomes extremely frightened during the tag interaction, tail tucked, and trying to exit room.. ARF was not interested in food, toys or rawhide. He was relaxed when approaching a friendly dog, but was not playful. The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter. ARF is somewhat fearful and needs time to warm up and an adopter who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment. ARF was nervous and trembling throughout the assessment and has a crouched body posture. The behavior department advises that future adopters should be able to provide positive experiences for ARF. In addition, we recommend that introductions are done slowly, and ARF be given the opportunity to interact at their own pace. We also recommend a home without children. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 2. Dog accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, shy body language, mouth closed, lip long, ears likely back, may lip lick. Tag: 3. Dog repeatedly turns quickly away when touched, and repeatedly tries to exit, Dog may be crouching ,tail is tucked, mouth closed, body stiff Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2: 1.
